Beji Adventure ATV Ubud Review: Everything You Need to Know

Ubud is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Bali, renowned for its lush natural surroundings and serene atmosphere. One of the best ways to explore this landscape is by joining an ATV adventure. When I visited Ubud during the dry season, the weather was perfect for riding—mostly sunny and not overly slippery.
I decided to come directly without making a reservation. However, many tourists actually recommend booking in advance to secure your slot, especially during peak holiday seasons. Fortunately, I was still able to get a riding schedule that day. Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed by the staff and asked to complete the payment before the activity began.
After that, the staff guided me to the changing room to get ready and put on safety equipment such as a helmet and boots before starting the adventure. Since the track includes river crossings and muddy trails, it’s highly recommended to bring a change of clothes for comfort afterwards. There’s no need to worry, as shower facilities are available for guests who want to freshen up after the ride.
Lockers are also provided to store bags and valuable belongings safely during the activity. All of these facilities are included in the ticket price, so there are no additional charges.

Exploring the Ubud ATV Track: From Jungle Trails to Cave Rides

Before starting the ATV track, all participants gather for a briefing session and a brief practice ride. All ATVs are automatic, making them relatively easy to operate—as long as you understand when to control the throttle and use the brakes, especially on steep and slippery sections. Every 3–4 participants are assigned one tour guide, so there’s no need to worry if you encounter any difficulties or if your ATV gets stuck along the way.
The first part of the track is fairly easy. The path is narrow but not rocky, as it passes through a residential area. The challenge begins when you enter the Snake Track, where the trail becomes winding and quite slippery. The adventure gets even more exciting on the Jungle Elephant Track. Since it runs close to the river, the terrain is muddier and more slippery. A few times, my ATV got stuck and needed assistance from the guide. It was quite challenging, especially when crossing a small rocky river—truly testing your focus and control while riding.
Facts!
Because the forest in this area remains lush and natural, the Jungle Elephant Track is known as a route occasionally used by wild elephants. If you’re lucky, you might even spot one passing through during your adventure.
The ATV journey ends at a hidden cave located along the banks of the Beji River. Upon arrival, the guide gives everyone a 20–30 minute break before continuing. You can use this time to take photos, and the guide is happy to help with documentation to capture the best moments.
Inside the cave, it is quite dark and the path can be slippery, with certain uphill sections. Since the terrain is more challenging here, don’t hesitate to ask for assistance from the guide if you feel unsure about riding through this area. Safety always comes first.
